Camera motion
Move a camera around a 3D device, across a multi-device scene, or over a photo mockup.
Once your recording sits in a 3D mockup, there's a camera looking at it — and that camera can move. Three tracks, one per mockup mode.
| Track | Appears when |
|---|---|
| Device Motion | Single device, 3D style |
| Stage Motion | Multi-device scene |
| Photo Motion | Photo mockup |
The track appears only in its own mode. Rows for the other two are dimmed with a note saying why.
Device Motion
Add a segment to the Device Motion track and pick how the camera behaves during it.
Presets
A grid of cinematic moves — push in, orbit, turntable, pull back, a slow hover, a lid reveal for laptops, and others. Each card animates on hover so you can see the character of the move before choosing.
Three modifiers reshape any preset:
| Modifier | Changes |
|---|---|
| Distance | How close the camera sits |
| Speed | How fast the move plays |
| Reach | How far the move travels |
Keyframes
For a move the presets don't cover, switch the segment from Preset to Keyframes.
Each keyframe stores a camera pose — distance (or zoom), pitch and yaw — and you choose the easing between keyframes. Keyframes show as dots on the segment.
Set a pose either with the angle grid and zoom slider in the panel, or by dragging directly on the 3D preview. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom.
Editing a keyframe while the playhead is elsewhere moves the playhead to that keyframe first, so you're always adjusting the pose you can see. Camera editing is locked during playback — pause first.
Outside a segment
Where no Device Motion segment covers the timeline, the device sits at the scene's default camera angle. You can set that angle too: drag the preview with no segment selected, and the resulting pose is saved as the default.
Stage Motion
Same idea, one camera for the whole multi-device scene.
The devices stay put; the camera moves across them. That's deliberate — moving each device independently reads as chaos, whereas one camera gliding past a phone and a laptop reads as a product film.
Keyframes store camera position, angle and zoom. Entering and leaving a Stage Motion segment blends over about half a second, so the camera doesn't snap when the segment starts.
Photo Motion
A camera move over a photo mockup — a slow push toward the device in the shot, a drift across the scene.
Presets cover the common moves; each segment has its own timing and easing. Between segments the photo sits still at its framing.
A photo mockup can also cut between different photographs across the timeline: give each segment its own scene, and the video changes setting as it plays.
Which track do I want?
- Recording in a 3D iPhone or MacBook → Device Motion
- Two or three devices in one shot → Stage Motion
- Recording inside a photograph → Photo Motion
- No mockup at all → none of these. You want Zoom or a 3D Transform.
