Jailbreaking the iPhone
Jailbreaking exploits an iOS vulnerability to grant root access. With root, third-party tools could in theory disable the protected-frame flag in the screen capture pipeline.

Screenshots of stills
iOS screen recording blocks DRM video. iOS screenshots, however, do not always block — for some apps, you can take a screenshot of a paused frame even when video recording is blacked out.
