v2.2.5
Screenify Studio v2.2.5
3D effects, put back together
A pass over the 3D layer: the missing corners, the stacked-effects conflict, two labels that have been backwards since they shipped, and the stutter on the way into a 3D Transform.
Fixes
- Turning on a 3D effect for a zoom no longer eats two corners — rotating the frame makes the receding side shrink, and the two corners it left behind showed the background instead of your recording. Fixed in the preview and in the exported video, at every rotation angle.
- A 3D Transform stacked on top of a 3D zoom no longer fights itself — the exported video took its shape from one effect and its cropping from the other, so the frame, its shadow and the cursor all disagreed about where the edge was. The 3D Transform now takes the wheel, exactly as the preview has always shown it.
- Rotate Left and Rotate Right were the wrong way round — picking Rotate Left rotated the canvas to the right, and the preview thumbnail on the card animated the opposite way from the effect it was selling. Labels and thumbnails now match what happens. Your existing projects keep the rotation they already had; only the wording on the card changed.
- Gliding into and out of a 3D Transform segment is smooth — when the segment's framing sat far from the rest of the timeline, the move stuttered instead of flowing, and it took a bent path to get there. It now travels in a straight line.
- 3D Transform presets land where they should — since 2.2.3 the built-in camera-movement presets applied about 6% off target, with their motion shrunk to a quarter of its intended size.
- Browser Frame stays with the recording when it's off centre — in the exported video the frame stayed pinned to the middle of the canvas while the recording moved away from it.
Note
This release changes how some projects export. If a project has a 3D Transform whose framing sits far from the rest of the timeline, or has a 3D Transform and a 3D zoom overlapping, re-exporting it will produce a different — and correct — result that matches the editor. Projects with small position offsets, and projects using the built-in presets unchanged, export exactly as before.
