Auto-Update Restored

A small but important patch: the in-app updater is back. Earlier builds could get stuck on "Checking for updates…" indefinitely whenever a newer release was available. This release fixes the underlying issue so update notifications surface reliably from now on.

Fixes

• Auto-update no longer hangs — Clicking "Check for Updates" now resolves properly and shows new versions when available, instead of spinning forever on the checking step.

Note for existing users

Because the bug was in the update mechanism itself, anyone on an earlier build must download 1.8.1 once from the website. After that, in-app updates work normally for all future releases.
