v1.5.0

Screenify Studio v1.5.0

Multi-Source Studio Complete

The composition story that started with images and external video clips in v1.4.0 now finishes with the missing piece: record new segments straight into your project. Whatever you need to add — a screenshot, b-roll, follow-up footage, a voice-over outro — it all lives on the same timeline, in the same project, with the same effects.

Added

  • Insert New Recording — Add a fresh screen recording to any existing project without leaving the editor. Capture a follow-up segment, append a sign-off, or record a missing detail and it slots straight onto the timeline next to your existing media. Audio re-encoding keeps everything in sync, so the new segment plays back smoothly with the rest of your project.
  • Editor Session Persistence — Your in-progress edits survive recording interruptions. Start a new recording from the editor, finish capturing, and return to the exact state you left — no lost work, no re-opening dialogs.

Improved

  • Multi-Source Studio (recap from v1.4.0) — The full composition story is now complete: drop in images, external video clips, and freshly recorded segments side-by-side on a single timeline. Effects, cursor overlays, music, captions, and exports all work seamlessly across mixed-media projects.
  • Smoother playback when the timeline contains a mix of recordings, images, and video clips, with no audible gaps at segment boundaries.
  • Cleaner scrubbing behavior — playhead position is now reliable after seeking, even after playback reaches the end of the timeline.

Fixed

  • Seek-Then-Play Reliability — Fixed an intermittent issue where pressing Play after seeking to a new position (after playback had reached the end of the timeline) would restart from the beginning instead of the seeked position. Playback now consistently starts from where you placed the playhead.
  • Various stability improvements for long-recording projects with multiple inserted media sources.

Known Limitation

  • A small camera-vs-voice lip sync drift (~300ms cold-start) may appear in projects with webcam recordings. This settles after the first second of playback and is being addressed in a future release.
