v1.2.0

Screenify Studio v1.2.0

A Smoother Start, A Better Edit

Screenify Studio v1.2.0 focuses on two areas that matter most — making your first experience delightful and giving you more control over your timeline.

Added

  • Track Visibility Toggle — Click the eye icon on any track header (Zoom, Annotations, Camera, Mask, and more) to instantly hide or show its effects in the preview. What you see is what you export — disabled tracks won't render in your final video
  • Toggle All Effects — Quickly enable or disable all effects at once from the track header controls, perfect for comparing your raw recording against the polished version
  • Per-Source Audio Mute — Mute individual audio sources directly from the video track header, giving you precise control over which audio channels make it into your final cut

Improved

  • Redesigned Onboarding — New users now see what Screenify can do first — recording modes, editing tools, export options — before being asked for permissions. Understanding the "why" makes getting started feel natural instead of intrusive
  • Smarter Permission Flow — System permissions are now requested as part of the guided intro rather than as a separate blocking screen. You stay in context the whole time
  • Smoother Timeline Panning — Dragging across Camera, Mask, and 3D tracks no longer causes visual stuttering. Panning is now buttery smooth regardless of how many effects are on your timeline
  • Better Scroll Behavior — Scrolling near the edges of the timeline no longer accidentally triggers zoom. The timeline respects your scroll intent and only zooms when you pinch
  • Smarter Segment Creation — Creating new effects on the timeline now scales to your video length. No more tiny segments on long recordings — new segments start at a comfortable, visible size
  • Track Header Alignment — Video track headers are now properly aligned with their corresponding timeline rows for a cleaner, more polished look

Fixed

  • Duplicate ID Warning — Resolved an issue where loading a saved project could generate duplicate element IDs, causing console warnings and potential conflicts
  • Permission Re-check — When granting permissions in System Settings and returning to the app, the change is now detected immediately without needing to restart
