Screenify Studio v1.17.0
Mac Mockups (Preview)
An early look at framing your Mac screen recordings inside a photoreal MacBook or iMac scene — plus a faster window picker, recording sounds, and a timeline that follows the playhead.
Added
- Mac Mockups (Preview) — Frame your Mac recordings inside a photoreal MacBook or iMac scene, with independent backgrounds for the screen content and the scene around the device. More devices and refinements are on the way.
- Window Picker Overlay — Hover any window and press Space to start recording — no dialog. It handles overlapping windows cleanly and remembers your last source.
- Recording & Export Sounds — Subtle chimes when a recording starts, stops, or an export finishes. Toggle them in the new General settings tab.
- Follow Playhead — The timeline scrolls automatically to keep the playhead in view while playing, and steps out of the way when you scrub, pan, or select.
Improved
- Smoother, more natural zoom — Reworked zoom easing that looks identical in the preview and the final export. Linear zooms now travel in a straight line.
- Storage cleanup — A new Scan tool in Storage settings finds and removes broken or empty recordings.
- Faster window recording — Picking a window to record is now near-instant.
- Press Space to start recording in Area mode, matching the window picker.
- The recording HUD reopens with the right mode highlighted when you append a new take, and restores the window you were using.
Fixed
- Fixed a rare issue where recording the iOS Simulator could leave background activity running and take up disk space if the app quit unexpectedly.
- Fixed the Simulator preview getting stuck on "Capturing…".
- Zoom focus now stays correct on recordings with no cursor movement.
